(New York, NY) – January 18, 2019 - Baltimore-based pop rock trio, Skyward Story, have released their debut album Reborn, via Outerloop Records. The band worked tirelessly for a full year, with multi-platinum producer Matt Squire (One Direction, Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande), to create this album. Substream Magazine raved about Reborn stating “through a combination of already released singles and new tracks, Skyward Story have found a winning combination on Reborn. From the infectiously poppy jam of “Hey!” to the more reflective “Requiem,” the trio explore a variety of moods, sounds and feelings while always staying true to the tight-knit, guitar-driven core that drew fans to them in the first place.” Alt Press refers to “Trading Secrets” as a “classic pop-punk sound”.
The past year has been a whirlwind for the members of Skyward Story, from hopping on and off multiple tours with bands like Rookie Of The Year and festivals like Warped Tour; to garnering attention from noteable press outlets such as Idolator, AXS, Alt Press, Substream, Just Jared JR, Popdust, PopCrush, J14. Skyward Story’s social following continues to grow day by day, adding to the upward trajectory that they already have under their belt. With over 800K Spotify streams and a dedicated fanbase, there are no plans to stop touring or creating music anytime soon.
“Trading Secrets” is going to wiggle its way into your brain and bring you joy as that chorus reverberates in your head.” - Substream Magazine
Emerging from a previous project, Brandon (drummer) and Scott (guitarist) began searching for someone who shared their passion, drive, and dedication to music. They found Aaron (vocals) 1000 miles away by a stroke of luck on Twitter, when someone happened to share a Vine of him singing in his bedroom. After a few trips between Atlanta and Baltimore, it was clear that the three shared a powerful chemistry. Aaron left everything behind, moved to Baltimore, and Skyward Story was born. The group developed a large dedicated following through tireless grassroots efforts, following tours, sleeping in their car, and promoting their music across the country. Putting themselves in front of hundreds of thousands of people provided inspiration while writing and recording the new album Reborn, out today, with multiple regional and national tours to follow in 2019. “A whole lotta love has been put into this album and we’re very excited to share it with you all!” says the members of Skyward Story.
