It had been five years since Now, Now had played a show in Toronto, but the indie pop duo made up for their hiatus this week with two incredible sold out shows at The Drake Underground. Hamilton, Ontario band Ellevator opened both nights with their experimental-pop to get the crowd ready.

The shows saw Now, Now come back better than ever, playing a setlist that spanned the entirety of their discography with reimagined versions of old favourites. Crowds on both nights were also treated to a new, unreleased song as well as singles “SGL” and “Yours” that the band has released since announcing their return. Dalager and Hale bantered with one another on stage and interacted with the crowd throughout the set, breaking the ice in the room and getting the crowd moving.

Both nights made clear that Now, Now is firmly back and have no intent to go anywhere or slow down. Let’s just hope they play in Toronto again soon.

Be sure to catch Now, Now on tour this month with X Ambassadors.
