Brian Fallon & The Howling Weather Rock a Sold Out NJ Crowd

Review & Photos by Kevin Miller

New Jersey, a state I feel very lucky to have grown up in. The music scene here is parallel with no other. When you think of this state you think of all the solid talent that has broken out into the music industry and made their stamp on so many lives. There are many but few get the recognition like Brain Fallon. Dare I say, a legend in the making? Fallon best known for being the front-man of iconic NJ band, the Gaslight Anthem - continues to pour his heart and sole into his music.

Hearing comparisons to Bruce on countless occasion, I think that is a statement you cannot argue but I do not think that solely means in a musical sense. At least not from what I can see. I have never seen another musician gain such a loyal, dedicated and passionate following other then Bruce, like Fallon has. Continuously churning out the hits from his Gaslight days, to the Horrible Crowes, and now his most recent venture Brian Fallon & the Howling Weather fans continuously show out to support this man.  Selling out crowds, its clear that Fallon's music reaches the hearts of the common man/woman that work the 9-5's.

As a song writer no one quite does it like Fallon. As voices echoed into the photo pit, every word growing louder you felt the crowd was there for one thing and one thing only. That was to have a good time and forget about yesterday... heck... and the Monday that was coming their way. With a great mixture of songs including a stripped down version of Gaslight Anthem's '59 Sound its hard to not feel like you were at something legendary last night.
