Last week the Unheavenly Skye Tour came to Louisville, KY and it did not disappoint. This is a tour you do not want to miss! I’ll admit when first seeing the line-up I felt that it was a little all over the place in sound but was I wrong.
Kicking off the night was the veteran hardcore band Every Time I Die. They brought so much energy to the stage you can feel the heat rise down by the stage. They were the perfect band to set the bar for the rest of the night. With a great set the left Louisville only wanting more.
Then the pit got flooded with people from the back as Mastodon came on. A KILLER set with some of the most intricate guitar playing I have heard live their sound took over the amphitheater. Playing songs from their newest release the crowd sang every word back to make sure those playing disc golf in Iroquois Park know they’re missing none he’ll of a show.
Then the main event took stage, Coheed and Cambria. The BEST show production I have seen for this band ever. The lighting rigs drew you in, the sound kept you wanting more and they kept pleasing by playing hit after hit after hit. This tour is a MUST SEE this summer! Check out a date near you.
